History of the Computer Education Department
The Computer Education Department was established in the year 1401 (solar calendar) within the framework of the Faculty of Computer Science. As this department is newly established, it has not yet graduated any students, with the first graduation expected in 1405 (solar calendar). Currently, there are 124 male students and 45 female students enrolled in this department, of which all 124 male students are continuing their studies. Additionally, 6 faculty members are involved in teaching and academic activities in this department.
Objectives of the Department
Educational Objectives:
- To offer high-quality educational programs in computer education, both theoretical and practical, to solve everyday problems.
- To establish a physical and digital library within the department.
- To establish connections with scientific and research centers both inside and outside the country.
- To train professional academic staff for schools, semi-higher educational institutions, and both government and private organizations.
- To create a friendly learning environment and strengthen collaboration between students and the department.
- To foster creative and innovative students.
- To enhance students' research skills in the field of scientific research.
- To create systematic and sustainable professional development opportunities for department members.
Research Objectives:
- To improve teaching methods through case studies, internships, and scientific research.
- To guide scientific research of faculty and students based on societal needs.
- To monitor and refine students' research activities.
- To establish a well-equipped laboratory in the next two years to facilitate scientific research.
- To provide necessary technologies for students' research and monographs.
- To support scientific research by faculty and students.
- To approve, publish, and disseminate faculty research works.
Role of the Department in Society: The Computer Education Department trains the required personnel in the field of computer education for higher education institutions, semi-higher educational organizations, teacher training colleges, ministries, and other government and private organizations. Faculty activities include teaching, research, writing, and translation. This department, through the experience and knowledge of its faculty, prepares students for entering the job market and playing an effective role in society.

- Development of the electronic archive system at Kabul University of Education and Training.
- Creation of a digital student fee management system at Kabul University of Education and Training.
