Duties and Responsibilities of the Academic Affairs Vice Chancellery
- Performing the duties and responsibilities of the University Chancellor in his absence.
- Assisting the University Chancellor in academic affairs and activities.
- Carrying out legal and administrative procedures related to the appointment, academic rank confirmation, academic promotion, and separation of academic staff members.
- Leading and supervising the university’s publication and academic dissemination activities.
- Preparing the annual work plan of the Academic Council and presenting it at the first Academic Council meeting of each year for approval and implementation.
- Preparing the agenda of Academic Council meetings and recording and maintaining the council’s resolutions and decisions.
- Reviewing and evaluating regulations, bylaws, and procedures related to the university’s academic affairs.
- Chairing and leading relevant committees.
- Supervising the affairs and activities of offices and units under the Academic Affairs Vice Chancellery.
- Evaluating academic curricula and proposing improvements to align them with contemporary needs and international standards.
- Submitting annual reports on the activities and achievements of the Academic Affairs Vice Chancellery to the University Chancellor.
- Facilitating and contributing to the development of the university’s academic strategic plan.
- Performing other duties assigned to the Academic Affairs Vice Chancellery in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
