Duties and Responsibilities of the Academic Affairs Vice Chancellery

  1. Performing the duties and responsibilities of the University Chancellor in his absence.
  2. Assisting the University Chancellor in academic affairs and activities.
  3. Carrying out legal and administrative procedures related to the appointment, academic rank confirmation, academic promotion, and separation of academic staff members.
  4. Leading and supervising the university’s publication and academic dissemination activities.
  5. Preparing the annual work plan of the Academic Council and presenting it at the first Academic Council meeting of each year for approval and implementation.
  6. Preparing the agenda of Academic Council meetings and recording and maintaining the council’s resolutions and decisions.
  7. Reviewing and evaluating regulations, bylaws, and procedures related to the university’s academic affairs.
  8. Chairing and leading relevant committees.
  9. Supervising the affairs and activities of offices and units under the Academic Affairs Vice Chancellery.
  10. Evaluating academic curricula and proposing improvements to align them with contemporary needs and international standards.
  11. Submitting annual reports on the activities and achievements of the Academic Affairs Vice Chancellery to the University Chancellor.
  12. Facilitating and contributing to the development of the university’s academic strategic plan.
  13. Performing other duties assigned to the Academic Affairs Vice Chancellery in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
