Vision

The Chemistry Department aspires to become a nationally recognized and reputable center in Afghanistan for the education and training of specialized professional teachers in chemistry. It aims to develop graduates who are equipped with strong scientific knowledge, effective teaching competencies, practical laboratory skills, and a solid understanding of educational curricula, enabling them to enhance the quality of chemistry education in schools, universities, and teacher training institutions in a sustainable and impactful manner.

 

Mission

The Chemistry Department is committed to:

  • Offering nationally and internationally recognized academic programs, including updated curricula, to prepare professional and specialized lecturers and teachers in chemistry, and to meet the needs of higher education institutions, teacher training institutes, and schools across the country.
  • Providing bachelor-level education in chemistry for high school graduates, graduates of Grade 14 teacher training institutes, and in-service teachers in both public and private schools in urban areas.
  • Promoting continuous improvement in both the quality and quantity of academic output.
  • Establishing and strengthening partnerships with national and international academic institutions through the university.
  • Transforming the department into a center for teaching, learning, and scientific research in chemistry.
