Biography of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of Kabul Education University
Mawlawi Ihsanullah Nasih, son of the late distinguished Islamic scholar Fadhilat al-Shaykh Mawlawi Noorullah Nasih (May Allah have mercy on him), was born in 1990 (1369 Solar Hijri) during the period of migration into a scholarly and religious family. He is originally from Khogyani District of Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan.
He completed his primary religious and modern education in various educational institutions and Islamic seminaries in Kabul and Nangarhar.
In 2009 (1388 Solar Hijri), he enrolled in the Faculty of Sharia, Department of Islamic Studies, at Nangarhar University and graduated with first rank in 2013 (1392 Solar Hijri).
In 2016 (1395 Solar Hijri), he obtained his Master's degree in Tafsir and Hadith. He also completed the advanced Islamic scholarship program (Dawrah al-Kubra) at Al-Ghafouria University.
In 2020 (1399 Solar Hijri), he completed his specialization in Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) and obtained certification in Ifta (Islamic legal verdict issuance).
In addition to his native languages, he is proficient in Arabic, English, and Urdu.
In the field of research, more than fifty of his scholarly articles have been published in national and international academic journals.
He is the author of nearly ten published academic works, including two books on the Seerah (biography) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). One of his works, entitled “Qadiyyat Qatl al-Rahmah fi al-Shari‘ah al-Islamiyyah” (The Issue of Mercy Killing in Islamic Law), has been published in Arabic. Several of his publications are used as teaching materials in universities and religious institutions across Afghanistan. In addition, six other scholarly works on important Islamic subjects are currently prepared for publication.
He has participated in dozens of national and international conferences as a participant, organizer, and academic reviewer.
On 15 November 2021 (01/01/1443 AH), he was appointed by the Ministry of Higher Education as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of Nangarhar University. After serving in that position for more than four years, he was appointed, based on the approval of the High Office of the Prime Minister, as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of Kabul Education University on 17 November 2025 (26/05/1447 AH).
He continues to serve in this capacity while also holding membership in the academic staff of the Faculty of Sharia.
