Biography of Sarajuddin Saedy Acting Head of the Department of History
Sarajuddin Saedy, son of Fazel Rahman, was born on the 23/sep/1992 into a cultured, religious, and education-oriented family in Abshar District of Panjshir Province. He completed his primary and secondary education at Astana-e-Kalan Middle School and subsequently moved to Kabul in 2007, where he successfully completed his high school education at Ghazi High School.
In 2012, through the open national entrance examination (Kankor), he was admitted to the bachelor’s program at Kabul University of Education. After completing five years of studies in History, he graduated in 2017. Due to his strong academic interest in the field of history, he traveled to India in 2019 to pursue a Master’s degree in History at Noida International University. After completing two years (four semesters) of studies and successfully defending his Thesis, he earned his Master’s degree in History in 2021.
In addition to his academic pursuits, as noted above, he has been actively involved in the field of book publishing and printing for nearly 10 years and has rendered significant cultural services. Among these achievements is the establishment of Wahdat Publication, through which dozens of academic and non-academic books have been printed and published.
Given his strong interest in the noble profession of teaching, he was appointed to the Department of History in the spring of 2024 after successfully passing an open competitive examination. He is currently serving as a full-time lecturer and is actively engaged in academic activities within the department. Over the past year, he has also served as the Secretary of the Department of History, and following the meeting held in the 11th month of 2025, he was appointed as the Acting Head of the Department, a position he continues to hold.
Furthermore, he serves as the Head of the Faculty Examination Committee, a member of the University Examination Committee, and the Secretary of the committees for Quality Enhancement, Monitoring the Implementation of the Strategic Plan, and Cultural Affairs at the faculty level.
