Curriculum Vitae – Jamshid Alam, General Director of Teaching, Faculty of Language and Literature

Personal Information:
I, Jamshid Alam, son of Mohammad Akram, was born in 1364 (1985/86) in the village of Shin Kot, center of Jawzjan province. I completed my primary and secondary education at Arab Khana School and finished high school at General Abdul Hakim Gahraman High School in 1386 (2007/08).

In 1387 (2008/09), through the university entrance exam (Kankor), I was admitted to the Faculty of Chemical Engineering Technology, Department of Chemistry. In Saratan 1391 (July 2012), after completing nine semesters and defending my diploma project, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in the academic cadre system.

I am interested in all sports, particularly volleyball and football, and I practice them during my free time. I got married in 1389 (2010/11), and by the grace of God, I have three daughters and two sons.


Work Experience:

  • Worked for three years in various programs at the private TV channel “Aina”.
  • On 14/10/1392 (January 2014), I passed a competitive exam and was appointed as the Library Director of the Faculty of Language and Literature, and simultaneously was assigned as Head of Night Shift Administrative Affairs (Academic Management).
  • From 18/01/1444 (April 2025), I served as the Executive Director of the Departments of the Faculty.
  • From 10/08/1403 (October 2024), I was promoted to General Director of Teaching of the Faculty of Language and Literature.
  • Continuous service: 11 years from the start to the present.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and organize weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans according to the faculty plan to achieve the predicted objectives.
  2. Supervise and monitor the registration process, attendance records, and schedule organization of newly enrolled students for subsequent administrative procedures.
  3. Prepare and organize exam schedules, student and graduate records, and documents for issuing transcripts and diplomas.
  4. Implement laws, regulations, decrees, procedures, and decisions of the Scientific Council to ensure order and discipline in the faculty.
  5. Prepare and organize the schedules of faculty members and departments to optimize teaching and avoid time wastage.
  6. Prepare, organize, and submit faculty promotion documents for review and approval by the Scientific Council.
  7. Prepare and organize practical and observational plans for technicians (lab assistants) according to departmental needs and pre-prepared schedules.
  8. Supervise the performance of staff under my supervision to improve work quality.
  9. Perform other related tasks assigned by the relevant supervisor.
