Introduction to the Directorate of Academic Staff Affairs

The Directorate of Academic Staff Affairs is one of the key administrative units of Kabul Education and Training University. It is responsible for organizing and managing matters related to academic staff members, implementing academic cadre programs, and facilitating professional development and capacity-building opportunities for faculty members. Operating within the framework of higher education laws and regulations, the directorate plays a significant role in strengthening the university’s academic and administrative affairs.

In addition to the Director of Academic Staff Affairs, the directorate includes an Academic Staff Management Office, which assists in processing documents, maintaining personnel records, managing academic staff information, and ensuring effective coordination of faculty-related affairs.

The major responsibilities of the directorate include reviewing and processing appointment documents of academic staff through relevant legal procedures, coordinating meetings related to faculty appointments, maintaining academic staff records, reviewing and completing promotion files of faculty members, preparing and sharing the agenda of the University Academic Council, organizing council meetings, processing retirement-related documents of academic staff, and carrying out other duties assigned in accordance with higher education laws and regulations.

Through the provision of effective services and enhanced coordination among academic and administrative units, the Directorate of Academic Staff Affairs contributes to improving the quality of teaching, research, and academic personnel management at the university.
