The Opening Ceremony of the Football Tournament Among Eleven Teams from Nine Faculties and Administrative Staff of Kabul Education University Was Held!

On Saturday, dated 23/1/1404 Hijri Shamsi, corresponding to 14/10/1446 Hijri Qamari, the football tournament among eleven teams from nine faculties and the administrative staff of Kabul Education University was officially inaugurated at the university’s sports ground, with the presence of university deputies, deans of faculties, professors, administrative heads, staff members, and students.

The opening ceremony began with the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran.

At the beginning, Mr. Mawlawi Rahman Gul "Wasiq", Deputy for Student Affairs, welcomed the attendees and spoke about the tournament. He expressed hope that the competitions would take place in a peaceful and secure environment. He also requested all players and athletes to observe ethical, Islamic, and sportsmanship principles during the matches so that the tournament proceeds in a good and calm atmosphere.

During the event, Associate Professor Sayed Ubaidullah "Hamidi", Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, delivered a comprehensive speech about the objectives of the tournament and the importance of sports. He added that he hopes the tournament will conclude in a spirit of peace and brotherhood.

Later, Engineer Khan Agha "Khabib", Head of Student Services Coordination, provided valuable guidance to the athletes on upholding moral, Islamic, and athletic principles and gave comprehensive information to the participants regarding the organization of tournaments in other sections as well.

Finally, after the closing prayer, the tournament officially began with the opening match between the Administrative Staff Team and the Faculty of Special Sciences Team.
